Exams Invigilators, Readers and Scribes-TERM TIME OPPORTUNITIES
TERM TIME OPPORTUNITIES AT HINCHLEY WOOD SCHOOL
Do you have a few spare hours during term time? Would you like to make a difference to students taking exams and earn a little extra cash? Could you be an exam invigilator, reader and / or scribe?
We are looking to expand our Exams Team of invigilators, readers and scribes to support the exams process at Hinchley Wood School.
Invigilator responsibilities include setting up exam rooms, ensuring students receive the appropriate question papers and follow the rules and regulations associated with public exams.
Those taking on reader responsibilities must be confident in reading unseen material. Scribes will need good listening skills, neat and legible handwriting and accurate spelling to produce precise transcriptions of answers dictated by students.
Whether you are keen to specialise in one role or are happy to undertake all three, we would love to hear from you. No previous experience is necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided.
Hours and days will vary, but we need adults who can work on a casual, occasional basis during December, March and during the main exam season in May and June. Successful candidates will undergo comprehensive, mandatory training on 14th November 2024. Experience working with young people would be helpful but is not essential. Interviews will be held on 6th November 2024.
Please declare if you have children taking exams at HWS in this academic year.
The hourly rate is £13.15 per hour including 15%holiday pay. If you have any further queries, please telephone 0208 398 7161 or email hr@hinchleywoodschool.co.uk Application packs can be downloaded from our website.
Closing date for applications Tuesday 15th October 2024
