We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our dynamic pastoral team working closely with students, our Heads of Year and SLT, providing them with administrative and organization support, as well as being a first point of contact for parents/carers.  The role contributes significantly to the excellent pastoral support network operating across the school working to ensure that students are able to develop resilience and achieve success. We are looking for someone on a fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity leave from September 2026.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about pastoral care, a strong team player, and committed to achieving positive outcomes. They will be able to build effective and strong relationships with colleagues, students and parents/carers. The person appointed will work closely alongside our highly experienced Student Support Manager and Pastoral Lead who will provide guidance and support within the role.  Excellent communication and IT skills are required together with a calm, resilient and organised approach, (plus a willingness to obtain a first aid qualification, if not already held).  Previous experience operating in a similar environment and providing strong pastoral care as well as administrative support is advantageous, but training will be provided for the right candidate with transferable experience/skills.

The hours of work are 35.5 per week, Monday to Thursday: 8.15am to 4.00pm and Fridays: 8.15am to 3.15pm.  This role is 40 weeks per year, term time (38 weeks) plus attendance at events outside of core working hours to support occasional meetings and events.  The actual starting salary is £23,814.58 per annum (FTE £27, 370).  NB pay award pending September 2026.
